If I had to choose only one word to explain my feelings about my experience with Summit View, I would have to say grateful. At a very critical time, having to find a safe place for my mother, the Lord sent me to Summit View. It is a place that all people regardless of their age and condition are treated with respect. They choose to honor the elderly instead of keeping them drugged.

tMy brother has been a resident at Summit View for 11 years. Although he lived alone before, after his stroke he needed help with his medications and someone to watch him so that he was safe. My friend lived at Summit View...she was 97 years young.All the staff were so good to her and she loved everyone of them..She called Summit View ..Home. She got sick andwe knew that she was going to die, everyone there was so good to her, so kind and did everything to to make her passing easy. We all cried together...we were family. Clearly the people that have negative comments have never been anywhere else. Trust me there are a lot worse places that only care about money. No, it's not perfect no place is but for the time my mom was there I knew she was safe. I would love it if my mom was able to be there! Never ever did I ever see a single bug in her room but then we were careful not to feed them!

I have not had a family member at Summit View, but while working there, I had at least 120 adopted grandparents that I loved and still love very much. I believe that my former employers and colleagues at Summit View love what they do and care very deeply about the residents. I don't think that this sort of appreciation, love, concern, or respect for the elderly is evident in many assisted living communities, in my experience. This is a great team of folks.
